A printer that stopped printing off Elm Street

One job was at a residence off Elm Street. The client was having a printer problem and could no longer print over their network. After going through the setup, I found that their cable company had recently updated the router and the computer and printer had ended up on different networks. I got everything connected to the correct network, tested both printing and scanning, and made sure everything was working properly before I left.

A compromised business email account on Route 5

Another job was for a business on Route 5 whose email account was compromised after someone clicked a link sent to them for a document. I checked the computer to make sure there were no viruses or other processes running locally, updated the account passwords, and reviewed the login and security logs to see what had happened.

I also checked Outlook for any hidden or malicious rules that could have been left behind. By the time I left, the account was secured, the computer had been checked for threats, and I had verified there were no malicious rules or other signs of continued access. The client was back in a secure position and able to move forward with confidence.
