What a Longmeadow visit looks like

You do not have to take the computer anywhere

Longmeadow sits just south of Springfield in Hampden County, with East Longmeadow to the east and the Connecticut line at Enfield to the south. It is a short drive for me, which means a Longmeadow call usually does not turn into an all day project for you.

I come to your home or office and work on the problem where it is happening. That matters when the trouble is not only the computer. A slow connection or a printer that stopped working can be the computer, the network, or the equipment, and onsite I can check all three together.

Work I have done in town

Real Longmeadow jobs

Two recent calls, described the way they happened.

A home office network near the Green

One job was near the Green in Longmeadow. The client worked from home and was having ongoing networking issues that were starting to interfere with their workday. I went through the network setup and tested the equipment to narrow down the source of the problem. It turned out the router was the issue and needed to be replaced. I installed and configured a new router, reconnected their devices, and made sure the home office network was working properly before I left.

It was a good example of why I like doing this work onsite: I was able to troubleshoot the computer, network, and equipment together instead of trying to diagnose them remotely or having them bring just the computer somewhere.

Moving sensitive data to a new computer near the JCC

Another job was near the JCC in Longmeadow. The client had an older computer containing important and sensitive data and needed to migrate everything to a new system. I took my time with the transfer, checked that the files and information they needed actually made it over, and then finished setting up the new computer so it was ready to use.

With a job like that, I would rather be careful and do it right than rush through it and risk missing something important. Once everything was in place, I went over the setup with the client and made sure they were comfortable with the new computer before I left. They were very happy with how smoothly the whole process went.
